We have been plagued in the past with frustrating farriers. I'm sure you know who I'm talking about: they don't return phone calls, don't show up on time (and sometimes don't show up), and don't respect your horse. Justin is not this type of farrier. I was at the end of my rope when I first called him; our regular farrier had not shown up for his appointment and wasn't returning calls, our horses' feet were getting long, and I was having a hard time getting a call back from other farriers (something about a draft horse tends to scare some away).
Since our first appointment, Justin has been back several times. He is always prompt, always courteous, and both of my horses walk away better than they walk up. Ozzy, our Percheron, has particularly seen marked improvement - both physically in his feet (which had a tendency to get quite a bit of flare and cracking - both of which Justin now has under control), and in his attitude (he is now less apt to try to take his foot away or lean on Justin). Justin has accomplished both with calm and skill; I have never seen him so much as raise his voice to my horses. As a result, I am incredibly pleased to recommend Justin.
